One thing about Taichung, which is miss, is the fact that when you go out, most places are all-you-can-drink. Such a feature is rather rare in Taipei but as i found out last, night, they actually do exist. The place to be for such a feat appears to be Zhong Xiao Dong Hua. After meeting my new friend, Lester, we walked around trying to find the best place. The first stop was a place underground. We decided no, firstly going underground to enter a place always spell trouble from my experience, and secondly, the place looked like a complete dive! The second place looked more like an escort bar which always puts the fear of God into me! So, we finally decided on a place called Match.
We had great fun there, the place was nice and the company was great. We talked for ages and drank ourselves senseless. Nice to meet someone who can drink as much as i can and to talk to so freely about things.
Unfortunately we drank a bit too much but i had no choice but to sober up and look after Lester who passed out, almost unconcious, on the floor. The lesson learnt is not to abuse the generous offer of all-you-can-drink. Due to a complete screw up an otherwise great night was ruined! I had to meet him the next day to return all his stuff, plus shoes! Long story! Anyway, glad everything is fine now. Lesson learnt!
